About Baba Budangiri
Baba Budangiri is a mountain in the Baba Budan range of the Western Ghats of India. Located in the Chikkamagaluru taluk, Chikkamagaluru District of Karnataka, Baba Budangiri is known for its shrine to the Sufi saint Hazrat Dada Hayat Khalandar, a pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Muslims. Sangh parivar organizations started "Datta Jayanti" celebrations in the late 2000s as part of their fight to claim "Sri Guru Dattatreya Bababudan Swami Dargah". People go to have a darshan of the dargah. The main peaks in this range are the Mullayanagiri and Baba Budangiri (height 1895 m). Collectively, these peaks are known as Chandradrona Parvatha Shreni (Chandradrona Mountain Range) as they naturally form the shape of a crescent moon.
Mullayanagiri (also spelt Mullayangiri or Mullainagiri) is the highest peak in the Baba Budangiri range. With a height of 1930 m (6317 ft), it is the fourth highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris. There is a famous trekking trail between Mullayanagiri and Baba Budangiri.
About Jhari Waterfalls
At a distance of 12 km from Baba Budangiri and 23 km from Chikmagalur, Jhari Waterfalls, also known as Buttermilk Falls, is a beautiful waterfall situated near Attigundi in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. This is one of the popular waterfalls in Chikmagalur and also one of the best Chikmagalur tourist places.
Jhari Falls, situated on the way to Baba Budangiri or Kemmangundi from Chikmagalur, is surrounded by dense forest and coffee plantations. This falls is created by the springs generated in the mountains. A pool is formed by the waterfall below which allows visitors swim and play in the water. This is a perfect retreat from the busy city life and it is one of the must visit tourist spots in Chikmagalur.
About Manikyadhara Waterfalls
Manikyadhara falls also known as Nellikayi Theertha is situated 1 km from Baba Budan Giri Dattatreya Peetha, Chikkamagalur, Karnataka. The water that falls down is in the form of droplets and they shine in the sunlight. Hence, it is known as Manikyadhara means a string of Pearls.
It is nestled in the beautiful Hills of Basavangudda and Waddin Gudda Ranges and the Shola forest at a height of 6000 feet above sea level. After parking the car, you will have climb down around 200 steps to see the falls. The water remains extremely cold in all seasons.

A small hillock, locally called 'Rathnagiri Bore' located on the northern side of Chikmaglur town has become a 'Star of Attarction' to the local people on almost all evening outgoings and weekend holidays. Located on a vital spot, it gives the most beautiful sight of 'Mullayanagiri' on the back drop with ever-changing natural scenario. Clouds and fog playing around the top of the hill, is really the most wanted place for visitors of all ages. 'Rathnagiri Bore' - a small hillock used only by the morning joggers has now been converted into a small but beautiful garden called Mahathma Gandhi Park. It has two entry gates, one for convenience of the walkers and the other main gate for those who can reach by vehicles. The Garden has beautifully designed pathways, steps and lush green lawn on ether sides with variety of colorful flower plants and ornamental plants. There is a water body flowing down from the top of the hill to the fountain point designed to draw the attention of the walkers. The noise of the flowing water is an experience to the young children. The colour lights in and around of the garden adds to the beauty of the flowing water.
About Mullayanagiri
Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka, India. Mullayyanagiri is located in the Chandra Dhrona Hill Ranges of the Western Ghats of Chikkamagaluru Taluk. With a height of 1,930 metres (6,330 ft),It is the fourth highest peak between Nilgiri hills and Himalayas next to Vavulmala, Chembra Peak and Banasura Hill.
Mullayanagiri is one of the best trekking places in Karnataka and South India. The summit of Mullayanagiri also houses a police radio relay station.
Seethalayyanagiri is a prominent peak is adjacent to this place.
The peak gets its name from a small temple (gadduge/tomb) at the summit, which is dedicated to a sage "Mulappa swamy" who, is believed to have meditated at the caves only a couple of feet below the summit. The caves are accessible and not very deep, they have a direct entrance to the garbagudi of the temple, which is now blocked by the temple priests. Apart from multiple versions of folklore and strong Siddha culture around the belt, the origins or any information about the deity remains ambiguous. Mullai refers to forest in Old Kannada language.
